Featured Postcard ~ Missouri
February 7, 2013 5 Comments
We got another postcard in the mail (thank you United States Postal Service!!) from some friends in Missouri. Stephanie of Christephi’s Sprouting Flowers sent me this postcard of their county courthouse. This courthouse tried and convicted Blanche Burrows of the Bonnie and Clyde gang!
Stephanie’s blog, Christephi’s Sprouting Flowers is full of homeschooling activities and ideas. She has two children and looks to be having a wonderful time teaching them at home! Check it out.
Thanks again, Stephanie!
As a reminder, the Postcard Exchange will be going on all year, so if you would like to participate, please let me know! I’d love to exchange postcards with you and your family, as well as feature your postcard and blog.

I didn’t grow up in this area and I think it’s history is just fascinating! Things like the local Baptist Church which has been here for over 150 years and used to have a separate door/balcony for black slaves to attend services. Or the Pony Express which had its headquarters up in St. Joseph (about 30 minutes from here). Thanks for featuring our postcard and my blog!
You’re welcome! I think history is really neat too (now that I’m an adult!) and I love being able to learn about it with the kids. I adored teaching US history when Maggie was in 5th grade, and then world history in 6th! Right now she’s doing geography so she’s kind of on her own, but she’ll cover both histories in-depth again in a few years, so YAY! lol
I really need to buy some stamps and send that postcard I bought for you! Where is my brain?
I look forward to seeing it.
